About Me

Muskaan Gupta, is a 12th grade student at Step by Step School, Noida. She has always wanted to help people, make a difference, and after learning about the huge gap in accessibility of healthcare in rural India, she decided to act in that area. She believes that ‘change doesn’t have any age’. Through this paper, she hopes to throw light on the current condition of healthcare in India and applaud the achievements, while advocating for more. She has also started her own initiative ‘Care for the Common’, which conducts medical camps in the urban slums of Delhi. Through crowd-fundraising she has provided free doctor consultations and free supply of prescribed medications.

Reviewed literature, designed a survey, and collected data from 300 households. Published a research abstract emphasizing the impact of cooking fuel choice and ventilation on health outcomes in low-income urban villages.
